Build a Windows, Linux or Android app with APPLICATE
Turn a project in Forge Code into installable apps, including a runnable Windows exe.
Open ForgeBefore you start
- A project open in Forge Code, and you are signed in.
Steps
- In Forge Code, open Deploy - APPLICATE from the activity bar on the left, or press Ctrl+Shift+B.
- Fill in the app's TITLE and IDENTIFIER, and choose an icon.
- Under What to build, tick the targets: for example the Windows exe, an MSIX package, a Debian package, an RPM package, Android or a web app.
- Fix anything listed with Fix it or Set it until it says Ready to build.
- Click Build. Each target answers when it is done, with a link to the file.
What happens next
The Windows build is a single exe you can run by double-clicking. No unzipping is needed.
Good to know
- The build runs in your namespace, as the account you are working as.
