Overview

Convert files, reshape media and turn whole websites into documents. Images, video, audio, documents, spreadsheets, archives and 3D models change format in your namespace, one at a time or as a batch queue, and a website becomes a PDF, Word file, slide deck or archive page by page.

What it is

Alter is a conversion workspace. Drop files in, pick what they should become, and the results are written to your namespace beside a history of every job. Images, video, audio, documents, presentations, spreadsheets, archives, e-books and 3D models are all handled the same way.

Website to documents reads a site the way a browser does, page by page, and assembles it into a PDF, a Word document, a slide deck, Markdown or an offline archive.

What it does

• Batch conversion with a queue that carries on when the connection returns. Presets for the settings you use again. A GIF studio that builds animations from frames. A format explorer that says what each format can become and what is lost on the way.
• Results can be shared with a link, saved to a folder in your namespace, or downloaded.

How it works

Every conversion is a named OcaltQL command run in your namespace through the Ocalt app gateway, and counted on your query meter. A website becomes a document one page at a time, each page its own query, so a large site is converted without one long request.

Who it is for

Anyone who receives files in the wrong format, publishes in several, or needs a website on paper: designers, editors, teams archiving their own sites, and anyone preparing documents for someone else.
