Orbit
Calls that bring everyone together, and the conversation that carries on afterwards.
Open OrbitOverview
Calls, messages, calendar and shared files in one workspace. Start a room in seconds, keep it open for the people who are not there yet, and send a link anyone can join from a browser without an account. In a business workspace, colleagues see who is online, ring each other and message in shared conversations.
What it is
Orbit is one workspace for calls, messages, a calendar and shared files. Start an instant call, schedule a meeting into your Ocalt calendar, or open a room with one link that stays the same.
A guest needs no account. The link opens in any browser, the guest types a name, and the host lets them in from the waiting room.
What it does
- Two people on the main stage, everyone else in subviews, and private subgroups that still hear the room. Screen sharing, reactions, raised hands, meeting chat, and recordings saved to Shared files.
- In a business workspace, colleagues see who is online, ring each other, and message in shared conversations with files attached. The address book is the workspace contacts, which every Ocalt app can use, with vCard import and export.
How it works
Messages are OcaltQL chat rooms, calls are video bridge rooms in mesh mode, invitations are mail, and every operation is a named command on the Ocalt app gateway. Video and sound go directly between the people in a call, through Ocalt's relay when a direct path is not possible.
Opening a call room is the step that uses queries, and only the host's workspace pays it. Joining is free.
Who it is for
Teams who want calls and conversations in the same place as the rest of their work, and anyone who needs to meet people who have no account of their own.
