Start a video call

Call people in your workspace right now.

Open Orbit

Steps

  1. Open orbit.ocalt.com and click New call at the top.
  2. Choose Instant call. Give it a name under What's this for? if you like.
  3. Under Invite people, search for people or type an email address and press Enter.
  4. Under Before you go, choose Start with camera on and Start with microphone on. Tick Enable waiting room if you want to let people in yourself.
  5. Click Start call.

What happens next

Everyone you invite gets an email with a Join the call button that opens in any browser, no account needed. Anyone who already has an Ocalt account also gets an Ocalt notification, under the bell and on every device where they turned notifications on: *Your name is calling you*, which opens the call when tapped.

Good to know

  • To bring someone in later, open the meeting in Orbit and choose Invite by email: they get the email and, if they are on Ocalt, the notification. Or click Copy invite link in the call and send it to them.
