Connect an inbox you already have
Read and send from Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP mailbox inside Ocalt Email.
Open Ocalt EmailSteps
- Click Accounts in the side menu, then Add a mailbox.
- Click Connect an existing inbox, then Continue.
- Under Sign in to the mailbox you want to connect, type the Email address and a Display name.
- Under Password type, choose Account password or App-specific password. Choose the second if the provider has 2-step verification on, and create that password in the provider's security settings.
- Check Incoming mail server (IMAP) (port 993) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP). Your provider lists both in its help pages.
- Click Test connection. When it passes, click Create mailbox.
What happens next
The mail stays with your provider. Ocalt Email reads it over IMAP and sends through the same provider.
Good to know
- To stop, open the mailbox in Accounts and click Disconnect. Nothing is deleted at the provider.
