Create a website
Turn a folder into a live site with PHP, Node.js, Python or another runtime.
Open FabricSteps
- Click Websites & Hosting in the side menu, then + New site.
- Under Identity, type the Site name (slug). It becomes name.ocalt.site. Add a Label if you like.
- Under Root & runtime, pick the Root machine: namespace (a folder in your Ocalt space) or one of your machines. Then set the Root path.
- Pick the Runtime: PHP, Node.js, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Perl, Bash or Static files.
- Under How is it reached?, choose Public (anyone can visit) or Internal (only your own sites and machines can call it).
- Click Create site, then Open site at the top right to visit it.
Good to know
- A folder on a machine stays on the machine. See Host a website from a folder on your computer.
- To upload files with an FTP app, open the site and use Deploy & FTP. See “Get FTP or SFTP access to a site folder”.
- To change the language later, open the site, click Runtime, choose another and click Save runtime.
