Build a website with Omni
Say create a website, build it page by page from ready sections, see it as you go, and publish it at its own address.
Open OmniSteps
- In Omni, say *create a website*, or *create a website for my bakery*.
- The website builder opens. On the left are the site's pages and each page's sections: a hero, features, about, a gallery, prices, a call to action, text and contact details. Click Add a section to add one; move or remove sections with their buttons.
- Click a section to change it: its words, buttons, links and pictures. The preview shows the page as you go; switch between Computer and Phone to see both.
- Choose the look under Style: a theme, the font and the accent colour.
- Give the site its address and continue. Omni publishes it as your own subdomain and shows the link.
What happens next
The site's files are kept in your Ocalt files, under omni/sites, and each publish replaces the last. While you are on the builder, the field speaks to it: *add a page called prices*, *add a gallery section*, *use the midnight theme*, *show it on a phone*.
Good to know
- Pictures are links to images: use Files in the ☰ menu to get a link to one of yours.
- A contact section shows your email and phone as links people can tap.
