Get answers from Omni: weather, money, places, time
Ask about the weather, money, a place, a route or the time in your own words. Each answer comes back as its own card, and every one can be a step in a longer chain.
Open OmniSteps
- Weather: *what is the weather in Durban*. The card draws the sky, shows the temperature in °C or °F (tap to switch), humidity and wind.
- Money: *convert 1500 USD to ZAR*, *exchange rate from euro to rand*, or *exchange rates for ZAR* for a board of the main currencies against one. Change the amount on the card to convert again.
- Places and maps: *find Table Mountain*, *what is at -33.92, 18.42*, *where am I* (your browser asks to share your location), *find pharmacies in Rondebosch*. Each place is shown on a map.
- Getting there: *directions from Cape Town to Stellenbosch*, by car, on foot or by bicycle. The card draws the route and lists every turn. *how far is Durban from Johannesburg* gives the straight-line distance and the compass bearing.
- Time: *time in Tokyo*, *world clock for London, New York and Sydney*, *sunrise and sunset in Polokwane*, *how many days until 25 December*.
- Business tools: *check the domain example.com* (its addresses, mail servers and whether mail is protected with SPF and DMARC), *add VAT to 2500* or *remove VAT from 2875* (at the VAT rate in your Settings), *calculate 1250 * 12 + 300*, *make a password*.
What happens next
Every answer can feed the next step: *what is the weather in Durban and notify me*, *convert 1500 USD to ZAR and email it to the accountant*. Answers that can run with no one there can also be scheduled; see Schedule Omni to run things.
Good to know
- *Where am I* needs your browser's permission to use your location; without it, Omni uses your internet address, which is only as close as your city or country.
- Directions use roads; the distance between two places is a straight line.
